The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in SMSTM College plays a crucial role in promoting and ensuring quality standards in academic and administrative activities. Its primary aim is to develop a system for conscious, consistent, and catalytic action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the college.

Activities:

The IQAC organizes workshops, seminars, and conferences on quality enhancement and quality sustenance in education. It implements a structured feedback system to collect opinions and suggestions from students, faculty, and others on institutional performance. Internal audits are conducted to ensure compliance with established quality benchmarks and identify areas for improvement.

Training sessions and professional development programs for faculty and staff are arranged to enhance their skills and knowledge. The IQAC regularly reviews academic processes and outcomes to ensure they meet quality standards and identifies opportunities for improvement. It identifies and promotes best practices in teaching, learning, and administration to enhance overall institutional quality.

The IQAC facilitates collaboration with other institutions, industries, and organizations for mutual benefit and quality enhancement. It encourages faculty and students to engage in various activities and provides the necessary support and resources. The IQAC promotes community-oriented activities and initiatives that contribute to societal development and enhance the institution’s reputation. Also prepares and submits the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) to NAAC and other relevant bodies, ensuring continuous compliance and improvement.
