Internal Complaint Committee(ICC)

An Internal Complaint Committee (ICC) is a body established to address and redress grievances related to sexual harassment and gender-based discrimination within the institution, mandated by the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 in India. The ICC’s responsibilities include receiving complaints of sexual harassment, conducting inquiries into the complaints, recommending actions based on the inquiry findings, ensuring confidentiality and fair treatment of all parties involved, and promoting awareness and sensitization about sexual harassment policies and prevention measures. The ICC aims to create a safe and supportive educational environment for all students and staff.

Activities:

The Internal Complaint Committee (ICC) engages in a variety of activities to uphold its mandate of preventing and addressing sexual harassment and gender-based discrimination. It conducts regular awareness programs and workshops to educate students and staff about policies related to sexual harassment and their rights. The ICC also organizes sensitization sessions to foster a respectful and inclusive campus environment.
